Tips on Filming at the seafront in Accra Ghana

Location:Accra Polo Beach Club Seafront

Crew with a polyboard for a sun bounce on subject. Filming on Blackmagic 6k pro and Tilta with Ronin S3 gimbal.

Some quick tips on filming on the beach in Accra. The weather was very scorching, rule number one try and have a tent to shade the crew either you use a floppy or a 12x12 diffuser or solid black cloth which will be very handy during the shoot itself. Also secure equipment ports such as unused sdi, hdmi, dtap, vlock slots ports with cello-tape or cling film. This is due to the excess salty sea breeze that can damage equipments after the shoot.  Grip equipments may rust easily after filming because of the sea water and breeze, have a plan to cover crucial parts that rust can damage ie grip heads, try and cover with cling film if possible.

You will need to check equipments after filming on the beach to wipe the sea breeze off them. Wd40 wipes might help, carry loads of water for the crew as it can be tiring.
